LORRAINE & LIVIU

Play Video

From our first call, when Lorraine told me her fiance’s name is pronounced “Leave you… as in he’s going to leave you!…” followed up by a big laugh down the phone, I knew this wedding was going to be great craic! I was not disappointed. There were so many belly laughs at this intimate gathering. It’s setting in this wacky one of a kind venue in Co. Clare, decorated with old world bric a brac just waiting to be investigated; to which the waiting page boys were only too happy to oblige. The Clare Eco Lodge provided the perfect time-capsule venue for this intimate, boutique boho wedding.

Lorraine had a great vision for her micro-wedding to Liviu. In her own words, “I envisage old world vibes mixed with boho as our wedding vibe. The colours are ivory and pastels. I want it relaxed with some formal bits aswel. I am very much into the little details.” Lorraine picked, customised and arranged antique cups and jars with antiquated lace to decorate her intimate wedding venue in a style that matched her signature boho-chic vision. It did not disappoint.

We discussed doing a first look prior to the wedding and when Olga from Mrs Red Head and I saw the shop room there was no question where we would be doing this. The old postal pidgeon holes and the fully stocked shelves creating a backdrop steeped in nostalgia, with Lorraine and Liviu now immortalised in their very own wedding time capsule.

This micro-wedding in east Clare was a celebration of family and of laughter. The unruly page boys when not stealing sweets, were smiling and chasing one another, doing the macarena and keeping everyone entertained. The outdoor humanist ceremony was celebrated in the yard with Lorraine and Liviu’s family surrounding them in love. There could hardly have been a more perfect and intimate celebration at this micro-wedding venue.
