You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You‘re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go..”
Olivia and Shane are creatives souls whose talents extend to music, photography, video and film production and more besides. So their wedding day (on their 12 year anniversary!) was always going to be special. Surrounded by friends and family in the intimate and beautiful natural setting of Cloughjordan House, this boutique wedding was one of a kind. The couple welcomed friends and family from around the world, celebrating music, creativity and South-American culture for this international wedding. So much style, personal touches and so much craic! This was a special one.
I knew how incredibly important music is to Shane and Olivia. Shane is a drummer in a band called Fox Jaw and Olivia is a popular Limerick DJ. So when I stumbled across Shane’s band-mates practicing Olivia’s coming down the aisle number I knew this would be an important element and a beautiful intro to their wedding film. Music was the focal point around which everything revolved during this intimate boutique wedding celebration. The ceremony was conducted by Billy Mag Fhloinn with spoken word and song from family and friends. The reception was enlivened by a mariachi band that really got the party started and the dancefloor was filled by familiar faces from the Limerick music scene. Even the favours on the table included a mix CD of Shane and Olivias favourite tracks that I still listen to!
Olivia and Shane had so many personal touches throughout the day, they made socks with designs that represented their tattoos and catch phrase, “savage cabbage’. A phrase that became especially fitting when we brought them out the biggest cabbage patch I have ever seen in the gardens of Cloughjordan for some of their portraits.
Needless to say this one was a special day and not one to be repeated anytime soon.
